Port Klang - Pulau Ketam Cycling

Yesterday managed to uncover how to reach Pulau Ketam (Crab Island) from KL. Early bird no worm or price. You don't have to move off early. Sleep well have a deserve rest.

Head down to "KL Sentral" station to take your breakfast. A huge shopping mall connect you to KTM station. Then purchase your KTM ticket (RM4.30) to "Pelabuhan Klang" (aka Port Klang) station. It's last station of Port Klang Line.

Alternatively, you can stroll to KTM "Kuala Lumpur station" which is 5 mins away from Pasar Seni station via the long overhead bridge (Connecting Station).

(Below) Long bridge connecting to KTM station from Pasar Seni station

KTM KL Sentral Station where many train lines connected.

There are more food stalls inside. Have your meal while waiting for train.

I took Egg Prata (Indian Pancake about RM2.50) for my breakfast here.

The train interval is about 15 to 30 mins. Check and time your ride while having breakfast.

Section for ladies so don't enter wrongly.

Exit the Port Klang station, turn right and gets opposite for ferry terminal.

Are we going to see GOLDEN crabs at Pulau Ketam?

Don't bother to wait at this counter if no one around. Just head to the jetty and money will
be collected on board the ferry. I wasted my time hanging around searching for them
so you are lucky to avoid this.
(above) I wonder this timing is right?!? Anyway two types of ferry to bring us across.
The speedboat and normal ferry. Actually both resemble speedboats, maybe i call them
"Speeder' (RM7 - 45 mins) and "Speedest" (RM10 - 20 mins)

(Top) The 'Speeder' in red (Below) The 'Speedest".
Given the choice please choose "Speedest' as its definitely faster and more comfortable.

Arrival at Pulau Ketam on a sunny morning. Be prepared with your Suntan lotion, Cap
and spare T-shirt, etc.

(Map point 1) Above photo showed our arrival.

If you want try the life here, can stay for a night on the island. This hotel is the nearest to jetty

This around Map point 2. Near police post.

Bicycle rent at around RM5 flat rate per day but don't have high expectation of condition
of the bike. I understand from the resident that Electric bike is avail too.
Please lah.... exercise, don't idle. (This shops area are those orange box on map)

(Map pt 3) There are many temples in this island.

I love the background of these photos as it was rare in city country like Singapore.
In this island, i appreciate what they have and what we have.

Houses build on stilts - water village.

Many tourists attracted to this island mainly for their fresh seafood.

Indeed, the steam fish is big, delicious and cheaper. No crab?
Oh, this their territory, i worry their gangs.

How to go back? Where to buy ferry ticket? You just have to go the jetty you alighted and people will come to you. Remember to choose the "Speedest" speedboat to have more comfortable way back.
